Alotra has implemented an eco-citizen approach aimed at integrating the principles of sustainable development into its operations.
Thus, in its daily management, consumption of water and energy are monitored through the regular meter reading but also by the monitoring of facilities such as the flushing of water flushes, watch time of lighting of outdoor lighting ( especially at night).
It is important to have good cost control and to be aware of the waste of water. In addition, we make sure that the wastewater evacuation is done properly.
It is therefore natural for our residents to follow this same path.

As part of the partnership with CAF, the CCAS Saint-Martin-de-Crau, Home House Association, the Social Center Oliviers, the Departmental House of Solidarity, social housing and EDF, animations were proposed to the inhabitants of the territory.
Seven residents took part in the proposed activities such as "Reading energy bills", "Creating ecological and economic cleaning products", "It's up to you".
The exhibition allowed to launch the debate on the electricity consumption of each one, to identify all the charges contiguous to a housing, to be sensitized to the selective sorting by the ambassador of the sorting of the city of Saint-Martin-de-Crau.

The reception area Realtor has been involved in a regional initiative called the Écohérent Center since January 2016.
This approach tends to develop practices based on the principles of sustainable development within the site, both functional and educational.
We decided to create a welcome booklet that could be distributed on the other reception areas. Through this booklet, it is a question of helping to localize the common facilities, to raise awareness about the respect of the common places, a better management of the resources, the management of the waste on the site ...
For the realization of this booklet, we targeted the young teenagers of the area and appealed to an illustrator of cartoon youth Ismaël MEZZIANE An avatar represented by a hedgehog was staged in various situations related to the following issues: water management, waste management, energy management, health / hygiene, collective areas and well-being
The teenagers have made a first comic strip on waste, the work will continue throughout the year 2018, with the completion of the booklet and the implementation of events for involving resident families in our areas.
Completed action : FOR BETTER WATER CONSUMPTION
Since January 2011, ALOTRA's Social and Urban Engineering Department, with the support of Société Eau de Marseille Métropole, has been carrying out a pedagogical action on the control of water consumption, called "Consecration Management". , in order to move tenants towards responsible and economical water consumption.
4 key phases follow one another:
the diagnosis of the consumption of each household,
awareness raising with individual follow-up and the delivery of an educational booklet,
empowerment in particular related to the annual adjustment of charges
accompaniment of the lessor in the process of individualisation of the water meters.
The "Management of Cons'Eau" action was the subject of a partnership and an agreement between SEMM and ALOTRA, on support for action through the provision of awareness-raising tools ( posters, flyers, equipment saving kit ...) and the participation of the project manager in collective actions on site.
